Improvements on the SMS5 motor control compared to earlier versions:

• Improved long time stability through precision components.

• Very low breakdown probability through heavy duty semiconductors.

• Improved pitch change stability (pitch bend and slide) by fine tuned and selected components.

• Dual speed function. With the flick of a switch the pitch of the Mellotron can be altered to a different preset value. Each of the two pitch levels has a separate precision trim pot on the board.
